520 |a"A novel wet-chemical method has been developed to produce finely divided lime-stabilized zirconia from solutions of zirconyl chloride and calcium formate. The process involves the formation of a hydrated zirconium hydroxide precipitate and the adsorption of calcium ions onto the precipitate surface. The mixture is subsequently spray-frozen, freeze-dried and finally calcined to produce a reactive and homogeneous material. Using this technique, a series of materials was prepared containing between zero and sixteen mole per cent calcium oxide"--Abstract, p. i.
