"The most important organotin pesticides in Canada are the tributyltin compounds, which are used as antifouling agents in some paints for boats, ships and docs, as general lumber preservatives and as slimicides in cooling water. The tributyltin species is among the most toxic to aquatic organisms of all chemicals identified in the Great Lakes."--Abstract.
