It describes the present state of research concerning ground-water pollution in Canada. In particular, it points out that, although there are relatively few hydrogeologists in Canada, there are numerous studies investigating the migration and fate of contaminants in the subsurface and that these studies enjoy international recognition"--Executive summary.
