520 |a"There has been on-going research by NWRI on sediments located along the Cornwall, Ontario waterfront of the St. Lawrence since 1993. These fine-grained sediment deposits are repositories of contaminants originating from historical industrial discharges. Previous investigations focussed on the largest zone (Zone 2) of the 4 areas being investigated. This study was concerned with deposits within the areas designated as Zone 1 and Zone 3, as well as with preliminary testing of sediment resuspension in Zone 2"--Abstract.
