Streamflow modelling in the Waterford River Basin / by H.Y.F. Ng and J. Marsalek. : En13-5/87-39E-PDF
"This paper briefly describes the results of a number of field experiments conducted to prove the influence of the capillary fringe in shallow-water-table environments. The results indicate that the influence is substantial and locally widespread although probably of little importance outside certain low-lying and geologically-complex ground water discharge zones, Possible of some significance in terms of ground water contamination in these discharge zones"--Management perspective.
