"This study was undertaken to examine roles and responsibilities of federal departments involved in administration and management of marine facilities. Historical background on periodical reviews of use and function of marine lands and facilities is provided to further understand how complexities relating to marine facilities management and administration evolved. The roles of the individual agencies have been examined as well as administrative structure and management process for marine lands. The last section of this document comprises a synthesis of facts, trends, issues, concluding with the problems that still need resolution"--Abstract.
