"January 10, 11 and 12, 1980 proved to be three very interesting days at the Pacific Weather Centre. During this period, two low pressure areas; one from the Gulf of Alaska and one from the wouthwest (40N 155W) moved together, combining and intensifying into one 946MB centre. This case study will examine how well the numerical models handled a physical assessment of the situation."
