"Surface water samples of 67 stations throughout Lake St. Clair and parts of the St. Clair River delta were tested for acute toxicity to Photobacterium phosphoreum with the Microtox test. The results indicate the existence of zones of low toxicity in most of thenearshore areas (up to approximately 5 km from shore), except for the eastern part of the lake, and generally no toxicity in the central offshore part of the lake and in the river"--Abstract.
