"To aid the standardization work of ISO/TC79 on Light Metals and Alloys, a Symposium on Sand-Cast Aluminum Alloy Test Bars was held at the International Foundry Congress in Detroit in 1962. The Canadian contribution to this symposium was a comparison of the characteristics of six test bar pattern designs, used in various countries . This report presents the results of this study, along with the discussions held at the Symposium"--Abstract.
