"The Atmospheric Environment Service extended the marine weather forecasts to 200 nautical miles off the coast of British Columbia in September, 1983 ... With the forecast extension, it is of interest to the operational forecasters to have a basic marine climatology for Bowie and Explorer. For future climatological or prognostic studies, this note will also briefly describe the archive of marine observations."
