520 |a"The Aquatic Ecosystem Management Research Branch (AEMRB), one of three research branches of the National Water Research Institute, conducts research to assess and manage surface and ground water systems degraded by anthropogenic activities. Key research activities include assessment of aquatic ecosystem health, development of indicators of ecosystem state and recovery, impacts of urban point and non-point sources of pollution on receiving environments, control of urban pollution and, development of remediation approaches for contaminated groundwater and sediments.
