"This report was prepared for 4th International Conference on the Conservation and Management of Lakes, held in Hangzhou, Peoples Republic of China, in 1990. The proceedings of this Conference will be published in late 1991 or 1992. The report is a brief summary that provides highlights of a much longer report titled "An Overview of Toxic Contaminants in Water and Sediments of the Great Lakes", which was released in the spring of l99l by the Departments of the Environment, Fisheries and Oceans and Health and Welfare"--Management perspective.
