"In recent years, there has been a renewed interest in cohesive sediment transport research in the environmental field. Cohesive sediments in the size classes of silt and clay are known to adsorb and transport many contaminants that are toxic and persistent. For a proper design of environmental monitoring and management of toxic contaminants bound to sediments, a better understanding of cohesive sediment transport processes is a prerequisite"--Abstract.
