"The federal government recognizes the need to form strong partnerships with the biotechnology community to achieve international competitiveness. Therefore it offers industry and universities a host of support mechanisms to facilitate the research, development and commercialization of biotechnology products and processes. This Guide describes these programs, services and research centres and identifies the people who can provide further information and assistance.
