"This study investigated plant nutrient and herbicide inputs to the South Saskatchewan River in drainage water from flood-irrigated fields within the South Saskatchewan River Irrigation District #1 (also known as the Outlook Irrigation District). Funding for this study was allocated by the Irrigation Sustainability Technical Committee of the Canada-Saskatchewan Agriculture Green Plan Agreement (CSAGPA). The intent of the study was to address the concern that drainage water from the South Saskatchewan River Irrigation District #1 may be detrimental to the downstream quality of the water in the South Saskatchewan River"--Executive summary.
