"Total mercury (THg) and carbon and nitrogen stable isotope analyses were conducted on Northern Dolly Varden (Salvelinus malma malma) from ten sites along the Yukon North Slope and northwestern area of the Northwest Territories. Various life-histories and years were analyzed, which included isolate, resident, and anadromous forms collected between 1986 and 2013. The objective of the study was to use archival tissue sample obtained from populations separated by space, time, and life-history type to examine the spatial, temporal, and life-history trends in THg concentrations in Northern Dolly Varden. The data were also used to build a historical baseline against which future changes in contaminant loading may be assessed. All Northern Dolly Varden muscle tissue samples were obtained from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Winnipeg"--Abstract, page v.
