520 |a"This report is based on a series of graduate lectures at the Department of Civil Engineering, McMaster University on the hydraulics of Hamilton Harbour for. the purpose of stimulating interest in areas of concern among the engineering community. The progress made in the quantification exchanges of water between the open lake and the more restricted nearshore areas as would be required to assess the effectiveness of various proposed remedial strategies is reviewed and the steps required to make further progress are outlined. In addition, the feasibility of advanced acoustical flow measurements to the measurement of exchanges between Hamilton Harbour and Lake Ontario is discussed"--Management perspective.
