"In the early planning stages of the Upper Great Lakes Connecting Channels (UGLCC) Study, it was recognized that QualityAssurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) aspects would be crucial to the overall usefulness of study results. In order to address this matter, a Quality Mangement Work Group was established and thirteen interlaboratory performance evaluation (PE) studies for inorganic and organic parameters were designed and conducted during the duration of the study (1985 -1987)"--Abstract.
