520 |a"The influent of a sewage treatment plant in Granby, Quebec, and the influent and effluent of a wastewater treatment plant of a textile mill in Magog, Quebec, were analyzed for dyes, PCB congeners and chlorinated pesticides. No dyes were found in the Granby sewage treatment plant influent. Four orange-red dyes were found in the Magog plant influent, and their ultraviolet visible spectra were recorded. These dyes were not found in the effluent, indicating efficient removal by the wastewater treatment process"--Abstract.
