Laboratory testing of the Ontario Concrete Pipe Association oil/grit separator / G.A. Larkin and J. Marsalek. : En36-518/97-005E-PDF
"The Ontario Concrete Pipe Association designed an oil/grit separator to separate floatables (specifically oils) and sediments from stormwater flow in sewer lines. Low flows are diverted from the main sewer line by a low sill into an off-line separation chamber. Higher flows overflow the sill and bypass the separation chamber, hence not disturbing trapped sediment and floatables. Hydraulic testing on a laboratory scale model was undertaken by the National Water Research Institute"--Abstract.
