520 | |a"Flow Injection Technology is applied to Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy for automated Na and K determination. The optimal rate of operation of this analytical method is 120-180 samples per hour, with 500 to 1000 L of sample required per analysis. The precision and detection limits are well within commonly accepted values for the determination of Na and K by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Automated Flame Photometry procedures. The method described in the report is proposed as a replacement for the Flame Photometry procedure currently in use within the National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) and is deemed to be superior to direct aspiration AAS procedures"--Abstract. |
