"At the request of the Communications Research Centre (Ottawa), a study of radio ducting in the troposphere has been undertaken by the Centre for Radio Science in January 1974. This project is divided into two phases. One phase requires the preparation of a literature survey on tropospheric ducting; the present report is directed towards this end"--Introduction, page 1.
