Temperature effect on settling velocity and deposition of cohesive sediments / by Y.L. Lau. : En13-5/90-99E-PDF

"Results from deposition experiments in an annular flume are presented. Tests were carried out using kaolinite clay in distilled water and salt water as well as natural river water and sediment. Identical experiments carried out at different temperatures show that as temperature decreases, a larger proportion of the material initially suspended will settle out. The effective settling velocity is also higher when temperature decreases, in direct contrast to published results from settling tube experiments"--Abstract.
