"The purpose of this study is to examine the distribution systems employed by Canadian newspapers, periodicals, book publishers and libraries, in order to determine the economic factors affecting the use of existing systems, and the consideration being given to possible alternative systems. The results of the study are used to highlight the policy implications for the print media industries in Canada"--Introduction, page 1.
