"Beluga whales (Delphinapterus leucas) from the Eastern Beaufort Sea population are harvested annually by the Inuvialuit and represent a culturally and nutritionally significant species in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR), Northwest Territories, Canada. In this report, we summarize the observations made by Inuvialuit beluga harvesters at East Whitefish camp (Inuvik hunters), Hendrickson Island (Tuktoyaktuk hunters), Darnley Bay and Paulatuk (Paulatuk hunters), Ulukhaktok and Sachs Harbour"--Abstract, page v.
