"The approximately twelve million people living in Canada's 24 largest cities have, on average, access to 12.6 channels of distinctly different television. Similarly, on average, they have access to 5.8 channels of distinctly different English-language Canadian TV, 2.5 channels of distinctly different French-language Canadian TV and 4.4 channels of distinctly different American TV. The date at which the data was gathered for this study, which includes off-air channels, CATV carriage, alpha-numeric channels and local origination, was May 1978"--Executive Summary.
