The main objectives of this report were to: identify current uses of mercury in the Pacific Region and potential sources of release to the environment; assess the potential for environmental impacts as a result of these releases; document all existing information on mercury levels in the British Columbia and Yukon environments and compare these levels to those reported for other areas of the world; and, identify localized areas of particularly high contamination.
