Overall landings dropped from approximately 58,000 t to 55,000t. In a series of SPAs, it was possible to discriminate amongst terminal fishing mortalities for 1982, by using commercial catch rates. Total stock biomass showed a slight decrease in 1982 compared to 1980-1981. A terminal F of 0.3 was considered most appropriate for the projection of catches.
