"The Bicknell’s Thrush (Catharus bicknelli) was listed as a threatened species in Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act (SARA) in 2012. The Bicknell’s Thrush is a rare, range-restricted passerine species. The species nests in dense high-elevation forests dominated by Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea) in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the northeastern United States as well as in coastal lowland coniferous forests in Quebec and the Maritimes"--Executive summary, page iv.
