"The objective of this report was to provide a summary of available information on temporal trends of PCBs in the Canadian environment and current sources to the environment. Particular emphasis was placed on reviewing studies which documented a stabilization or increase in environmental levels of PCBs. The report presents Canadian temporal trend information for selected regions including the West Coast, Arctic, Great Lakes, Atlantic Coast and the St. Lawrence River system. Trend information on environmental concentrations of PCBs in other areas of the world was also presented"--Abstract, page ii.
