Mystery on the Great Lakes. : En56-105/1994E-PDF

"The year was 1970. Reports were coming in of "strange" things happening on the Great Lakes. Confirmation came from a wildlife biologist visiting Hamilton Harbour on Lake Ontario that, indeed, something had gone terribly wrong. The nests of the common tern were filled with eggs that had failed to hatch. Many of these eggs contained dead embryos. Nearby, the biologist also spotted a young chick with a severe deformity. Its beak was crossed, dooming it to starve to death"--Page 1.
