"The ice survey of the Queen Elizabeth Islands region made in the summer of 1962 was the second aerial survey conducted over this part of the high Arctic. It is hoped that this report will bring about a clearer understanding of the extent, distribution, types, topographical forms and circulation of the ice cover as these changing features are observed in the course of the short Arctic summer"--Preface.
