5203 |a"A body of technology in wave/wind directional sensing using moored buoy systems, has been developed at Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW) during the past decade. It is now available for transfer and wider application. The effectiveness of this technique was recently confirmed by the CCIW wave/wind directional data from the Arsloe experiment, as referenced herein. This report defines a more consolidated and convenient version of the CCIW Arsloe buoy, based on effectively the same, proven technology. This combination of wave-direction sensing, wind-direction sensing, and related atmospheric sensing, all within a relatively small buoy system, is considered advantageous"--Abstract, page i.
