"This paper is concerned with methodologies designed to identify and estimate the relative degree of environmental disruption which may accrue to the environmental system as a result of the adoption of alternative development options. It utilizes a matrix powering technique adapted from network analysis to aid in the identification of environmental interdependencies of up to the Nth order, and provides a method of identifying interrelationships which may have been previously unperceived.
