Mean weight of 1SW salmon in 1986 was greater than average, indicating favourable growth conditions at sea. the 1986 management plan which restricted homewater harvests of salmon resulted in 9% of MSW salmon and 70% of 2SW salmon potentially surviving to spawn. As a result, spawning requirements were apparently met in 1986.
