"A conceptual design is presented for a facility to study the control of flexible space structures. Attention is focused primarily on an appropriate flexible structure, a set of sensors and a set of actuators. Each of these components is chosen by subjecting a variety of possible candidates to both a preliminary and a detailed evaluation process.
