"This ISDN Terminal Standards Reference Manual, developed under contract by Microtel Pacific Research, is designed to provide guidance to the Canadian terminal manufacturing industry on standards and related network functions that need to be considered in the development of products compatible with the ISDN network environment. These guidelines should be particularly useful to smaller terminal manufacturers catering for existing networks, who are not full participants in the standards development process and ISDN field trials. This Reference Manual is also designed to stimulate a wider understanding of ISDN technology and to assist the Canadian terminal equipment industry to retain its competitive edge"--Foreword.
