Through the use of the weir, we were also able to capture and physically mark (using T-bar anchor tags, Floy Tag & Mfg., Inc, Seattle, Washington) a subset of Arctic Char in each year to allow us to subsequently investigate Arctic Char movements in the region and estimate the population size of the Halokvik River char stock using capture-mark-recapture (CMR) methodology.
