"The 1975 hydrographic survey of Nares Strait was the culmination of the survey which was started in 1972 by Mr. G.E. Wade and party. Mr. Wade established horizontal control along the Greenland coast of Nares Strait and we used this control in conjunction with established topographic control and our own 1975 established control, to accurately position bathymetric data over Nares Strait"--Summary, page 1.
