"Treasures of the National Archives ranges from early maps to a Karsh photograph, from land claims and treaties to television and movie images, from political cartoons to the constitution. Architectural and engineering records chart the progress of our built heritage. Paintings and engravings reflect the development of fine art in Canada, and in daguerreotypes and albumen prints we see how a new technology recorded life in a new country.
