520 |a"CNVC00209 is a boreal coniferous forest Association that occurs in Ontario and Quebec. It has a moderately closed to closed canopy dominated by jack pine (Pinus banksiana), with black spruce (Picea mariana) as the main companion species. The shrub layer is well developed to dense with abundant regenerating black spruce and heath species, especially sheep laurel (Kalmia angustifolia) but also velvet-leaved blueberry (Vaccinium myrtilloides), early lowbush blueberry (V. angustifolium) and common Labrador tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum)"--Page 1.
