Some developments in smokeless burning / by G. Bramhall. : Fo64-38/90E-PDF

"The burning of wood residues in conventional teepee burners will be outlawed at the end of 1974, according to recommendations of the Pollution Control Board of British Columbia. More sophisticated burners have been designed, however, which will not only dispose of wood residues in accordance with standards set by the board, but also will produce usable heat sufficient for kiln drying, conditioning of plywood veneer logs, veneer drying and space heating of mills in winter. On the basis of heat recovered and saving in costs of alternate disposal methods, these burners are estimated to recover their installation costs in about three years"--Abstract.
