Clean fuel regulations : quantification method for CO2 capture and permanent storage. : En4-419/3-2020E-PDF
"Carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted in many industrial production processes. It can be produced as a result of fuel combustion or as an inherent part of the industrial process. This CO2 may be captured for other uses, or vented directly to the atmosphere. CO2 may also be captured directly from the ambient air. Capturing CO2 emissions and transferring them to permanent storage results in a reduction of anthropogenic CO2 emissions in the atmosphere"--Introduction, page 5.
