The mine is currently processing approximately 850 tons of ore per calendar day and a feasability study shows the potential for expansion to 1500 tons per day. At the expanded production rate the mine has a life expectancy of ten years. Impoundment of tailings in the vicinity of the mine was impossible because of lack of suitable terrain.
