The kind of country that Canada will become during the next quarter century is being shaped in the response to this question. The industrial, cultural and environmental future of Canada will be formed directly by the alternatives selected today to provide future energy needs. This study was undertaken on the premise that a view of the implications for the future will lead to a more optimistic prospect for Canada.
