Gordon, we undertook to carry out a study of the industrial machinery industry on behalf of the Royal Commission on Canada's Economic Prospects. At an early discussion with the staff of the Royal Commission it was agreed that the industry should include all firms and products so classified by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics with the exception of those relating to household, office and store machinery.
