"In numerous communication systems, inputs consisting of many modulated carriers are passed through devices which exhibit both amplitude and phase non-linearities. This report is concerned with the analysis and computation of the effects of such devices on bandpass signals consisting of a moderate number of modulated sine waves, where the non-linear device is wide-band in comparison with the signal"--Abstract, page 1.
