EO baseline data for cumulative effects year end report (FY 2019/20) / D. Janzen [and 37 others]. : M103-3/60-2020E-PDF

"Ensuring that Canadians are able to thrive in Canada’s changing environment requires an intimate understanding of how the landmass is changing. To support the development of this knowledge, the Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has implemented the Status and Trends Mapping Program (STMP). The STMP will identify, develop, disseminate and analyze critical geospatial datasets for describing a changing Canadian landscape to inform evidence-based decision-making. The 5-year project ‘Earth Observation Baseline Data for Cumulative Effects’ (EO4CE) is the key launch effort for CCMEO’s STMP. The project, currently in its second year, will develop a wide range of status and trends variables (primarily terrestrial) and demonstrate their capabilities within regional assessments of cumulative effects. In fiscal year 2019-20 (April 2019 – March 2020), the EO4CE project has exceeded expectations as articulated within the project plan"--Executive summary, page 4.
