"An E.H.F. SATCOM program was initiated by C.R.C. and D.N.D. in cooperation with Lincoln Laboratory M.I.T. using the satellites LES 8 and LES 9. The early phases of this program, including the design, development and installation of the E.H.F. SATCOM terminal at C.R.C. Ottawa Canada are discussed. Experiments with the LES 8 satellite are described, the data recorded is presented and future plans for the SATCOM terminal are outlined"--Abstract, page 1.
