"A Workshop to review the stock structure of finfish and invertebrate species of commercial importance to Canada in the Gulf of Maine Area (NAFO Divisions, 4X, 5Y and Subdivision 5ze) was held in February 1986. The meeting was held in response to International Court of Justice decision which established a maritime boundary in the Gulf of Maine Area between Canada and the United States. For each species, authors reviewed the history of management and provided a detailed analysis of the biological evidence pertaining to stock structure based on previously published work and new data"--Abstract, page iii.
